The High School Department is made up of 7th -12th grades. Classes begin daily at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 3:05 p.m. This department is housed in Johnson Hall and Johnson Hall Annex. Electives include Yearbook, Physical Education, Driver Education, Career Tech Classes, American Sign Language, Work Experience classes, and cooperative work training. Report Cards are sent every 9 weeks, and mid-term reports are sent 4 and a half weeks into each 9-week period for all students.
Students in the high school are offered three exit documents: Alabama High School Diploma with Advanced Academic Endorsement, Alabama High School Diploma, and a Graduation Certificate. The ASD High School department works closely with other departments on campus to provide the best opportunities for students to achieve the highest exit document option possible. Students are offered various academic opportunities in the high school department and our staff here at ASD High School are committed to high expectation of student learning.
