Just one more week to go in this school year! The activity level is at an all-time high. Sunday, students enjoyed services at Faith Mission for the Deaf with a potluck meal. McDonald and Henderson Halls travelled to Birmingham that afternoon for the open-captioned movie “Captain America”. Monday was the annual senior dinner at “Top of the River” in Anniston. On Tuesday, Graves Hall West, Henderson Hall, McDonald Hall and Taylor Hall enjoyed a delicious meal with the money they raised from their car washes. Burgers and dogs were made by former dorm staff, Jermaine Dates.

This week has been all about DORM WARS – “Fear Factor 2016” was a great success! Dorm Wars accomplished everything it was created to do – motivation, teamwork, spirit and pride. Our residential staff went “above and beyond” in their support and involvement. A special thanks to our Dormitory Presidents for being such a wonderful leadership team. Congratulations to our winners: Taylor Hall, Thornton Hall and Graves Hall West!

Can you believe it is time for the final closed weekend of this school year?! Time has really flown by with another busy week. Our seniors enjoyed a trip to Birmingham on Wednesday. Retired Marine, Mr. McPherson, met with our young men in Taylor, McDonald and Henderson Halls to share about his career and life. On Thursday, our high school students viewed a presentation by the local Drug Task Force. Graves Hall West, Mary Leonard Hall, Preuitt Hall and Weaver Cottage travelled to Lincoln to support our Little Lady Warriors volleyball team.
